College Football Hall of Fame’s “All Access” was honored with a Bronze MUSE Award at the American Alliance of Museum’s Annual Conference. “All Access” is a network of systems that serve as a brain for the new College Football Hall of Fame’s visitor experience. Throughout the hall, RFID technology serves up exhibit experiences without the direct input of the visitor. A University of Georgia fan can walk up to the Fight Song Karaoke and immediately be asked if they want to sing “Glory, Glory”, the fight song for the Georgia Bulldogs. Visitors are also able to earn achievement badges by completing interactive activities. The entire system ties in with personalized takeaways that can be downloaded from the hall’s website and shared through social media.
The MUSE Awards recognize outstanding achievement in museum media design and development. Presented to institutions that use digital media to enhance the museum experience and engage audiences, the MUSE awards celebrate scholarship, community, innovation, creativity, education and inclusiveness.
